Annual Workshop of the International Helmholtz Research School “NanoNet”

16.08.2017 (Wednesday) - 18.08.2017 (Friday) , 08:00 - 18:00
Hotel Neue Höhe , Neuklingenberg 11 , 01774 Klingenberg

About the workshop

The International Helmholtz Research School NanoNet is an international, interdisciplinary and thematically focused doctoral program hosted by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and supported by the German Helmholtz Association. The project is a joint collaboration with partner institutions in Dresden: the Technische Universität Dresden, the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS), and the Nanoelectronics Materials Laboratory gGmbH (NaMLab).

The IHRS NanoNet aims at attracting and promoting excellence in the field of molecular and nanometer-scale electronics by educating selected doctoral candidates with backgrounds in physics, chemistry, materials science and electrical engineering.

An annual workshop will be organized to bring together all IHRS NanoNet participants and international experts on each of the three research subtopics of the research school. The doctoral candidates must actively participate in the NanoNet annual workshops by preparing oral or poster presentations.

Keynote speakers

  • Dr. Franziska Lissel, Independent Junior Research Group Leader, Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung (IPF) Dresden, Germany
  • Prof. Dr. Marc Tornow, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Technische Universität München, Germany
  • Dr. Enrique Samano, UNAM Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, México
  • Prof. Dr. Rainer Jordan, Full Professor for „Macromolecular Chemistry“, Department of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, Faculty of Science, TU Dresden, Germany
  • Prof. Dr. Robert M. Metzger, Department of Chemistry, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA
